Our Story

NOLA american bakery is a haven of old time America in the heart of Tel Aviv, with a unique mix of nostalgic food, design and music. Its warm inviting interior and intimate back patio provide a romantic feel and a break from the big city.

NOLA has a wide variety of delicious baked goods, made fresh daily in-house, as well as authentic American style breakfasts, sandwiches & salads, and of course, great coffee.

Nola was established in the summer of 2012 by Talya Rasner.

Talya was raised in New Orleans, Louisiana (thus the name - NOLA) and moved with

her family to Tel Aviv at the age of 8.

Tel Avivian bakeries are mostly European inspired, and Talya, who deeply missed the good old American baking, couldn’t find a slice of pie or an American chocolate chip cookie. After working as a designer, she began to visualise an all American bakery which she could call home. Together with Hat Sternstein, Nola’s first pastry chef, she built a pastry menu based on the American classics. Hat passed away in December 2014 but she will always remain in our hearts and in the NOLA family.

We are a family-run cafe and we want you to feel part of the NOLA family.

If you live right around the corner or are just visiting we hope you feel a hint of home....
